Wineries & wine estates

An online shop for your winery, from cellar door to doorstep.

Your private customers already order from your price list — by post, email or phone. Add Your Shop turns it into an online shop for your winery, on the estate's own website: cases paid by card, shipped or collected at the cellar door, and visits booked ahead. We set it up for you.

No setup fee, no monthly fee. 2.5% per order paid online, capped at €49 a month.

The tasting room of a wine estate: oak barrels against a stone wall, bottles with blank labels and a shipping box on the counter, vines through the open door.
Selling direct

Every case sold to a private customer is a wine you know the story of, sold at your price, to someone who will order again next year.

Your shop keeps that relationship on your own website — not on a marketplace — and costs nothing in the months you don't sell.

How it works for an estate

Your price list, without the order form.

Every autumn the price list goes out with its order form; then come the cheques, the emails and the addresses to re-type. With a Shop tab, your customers choose their wines and cases, pick shipping or cellar-door pickup and pay by card. Each order reaches you by email with the address and the delivery choice, ready to pack.

  • Cases of 6 or 12, single wine or mixed
  • Shipping zones and rates you set; cellar-door pickup with time slots
  • Age confirmation at checkout
  • Visits and tastings sold with their date

A year of orders

The estate's year, beyond the harvest.

Tell us when a new wine is released or a vintage sells out; we update the shop, usually within a working day or two.

January and February

New-vintage announcements and the first tastings; Saint-Vincent celebrations in many wine regions.

Spring

Bottling, new releases and open days at the estate; pre-sales of the new vintage.

Summer

Visitors at the cellar door and tastings booked ahead; shipping paused during a heatwave.

Harvest

September and October: the cellar is busy, the shop keeps taking orders and you dispatch on the days you choose.

Autumn

Wine fairs, and the price list for your private customers — now with a link to order.

December

Christmas cases, magnums and corporate gifts, with the last shipping date shown in the shop.

In figures

Three months at an illustrative estate.

Invented figures, real maths: 2.5% per order, never more than €49 in a calendar month, with Stripe's own fee shown separately.

Questions

Winemakers ask us

Guide: selling wine online in France
Do I need a licence to sell my wine online?

In France, producers selling their own harvest are generally exempt from the takeaway licence that resellers need (Service Public: alcohol licences). The ban on sales to under-18s (Code de la santé publique, article L3342-1) still applies, so your shop asks customers to confirm their age at checkout and shows the health message. Check your situation with your wine union or the douane.

Can I ship to Belgium or the UK?

You choose your shipping zones, but the rules follow the bottle. Within the EU, wine sold to private customers in another country carries that country's excise duty, often paid through a tax representative; the UK adds customs. Many estates start with France and add countries once the paperwork is in place.

Can customers build their own mixed case?

The simplest approach is a few mixed cases you design — discovery, Christmas, a vertical — alongside bottles sold individually. We help you choose what's easiest to pack and ship.

What about visits and tastings?

Each visit is a product with its date and number of places. Customers book and pay ahead, and the booking reaches you by email.

Who looks after the orders during the harvest?

You do, at your pace. Orders arrive by email, the shop can show your dispatch days, and we make any change you ask for — usually within a working day or two.

How much does a busy December cost?

2.5% per order paid online, capped at €49 per calendar month: a €13,500 December costs €49 in commission. Stripe's card fee is separate. No setup fee, no monthly fee.
