Breweries & distilleries

An online shop for your brewery, open between brew days.

Packs for the weekend, the Christmas beer, a keg for a wedding, a bottle of gin with an engraved label: your customers already ask. Add Your Shop is an online shop for breweries and distilleries, on your own website: orders paid by card, then collected, delivered or shipped, with an age confirmation at checkout.

No setup fee, no monthly fee. 2.5% per order paid online, capped at €49 a month.

Your regulars

Most of a brewery's regulars live nearby. Give them a way to order between two visits.

New releases, seasonal beers and gift boxes, reserved online and ready at the brewery door — on your website, in your colours, through your own Stripe account.

Send us each new release with its photo and description; we put it online, usually within a working day or two.

Spring

Bière de mars and spring releases; the first visits and workshops of the year.

June

Father's Day gift boxes, and keg bookings for the summer's weddings and parties.

Summer

Keg and dispenser hire every weekend, visitors at the brewery, lighter beers.

Autumn

Amber and autumn beers, gin and whisky releases, bookings for end-of-year events.

November and December

Christmas beers — a tradition in Belgium and the north of France — gift boxes and corporate orders.

Every week

Packs collected at the brewery on Saturday, new releases announced to your regulars.

In figures

Three months at an illustrative brewery.

Invented figures, real maths: 2.5% per order, never more than €49 in a calendar month, with Stripe's own fee shown separately.

Illustrative example

A usual month

Seventy orders of packs and cases, collected on Saturdays.

70 orders × €24.00 = €1,680.00
Add Your Shop, 2.5%: −€42.00
Stripe, 1.5% + 70 × €0.25: −€42.70
You keep: €1,595.30
Illustrative example

A summer month

Twenty keg hires and fifty pack orders, averaging €60. The commission reaches the cap.

→ capped at €49: −€49.00
Stripe, 1.5% + 70 × €0.25: −€80.50

Illustrative example

December

160 orders of Christmas beers and gift boxes. A €6,080 month costs €49 in commission.

160 orders × €38.00 = €6,080.00
Add Your Shop, 2.5%: €152.00
→ capped at €49: −€49.00
Stripe, 1.5% + 160 × €0.25: −€131.20
You keep: €5,899.80

Illustrative example: the brewery and its figures are invented. Commission excl. VAT; VAT may apply. Stripe's fee at its standard rate for European cards — premium, business and non-EEA cards, and some other payment methods, are priced differently. Pricing in detail.

Questions

Brewers and distillers ask us

Visit the help centre
How does the age check work?

Customers confirm their age at checkout, before paying. The limits depend on the country: in France, no alcohol may be sold to under-18s (Code de la santé publique, article L3342-1); in Belgium, no beer or wine to under-16s, and no other alcoholic drink to under-18s, spirits and beers with added spirits included. Check the rules that apply to your products.

Do I need a licence to sell online?

In France, selling alcohol at a distance counts as takeaway sales and needs the matching licence (Service Public: alcohol licences). In Belgium and the UK the rules are different. Check the rules for your activity before you open the shop.

Can I ship beer and spirits?

Yes, within your country, in protective packaging, to the zones and at the rates you choose. Shipping alcohol to private customers in another country brings that country's excise duty and rules, so most breweries start at home.

How do keg hires work?

Each keg or dispenser is a product with dates. The customer books and pays online; you agree the pickup, the deposit and the return at the brewery, as you do today.

What can I say about my beers?

In France, the Loi Évin keeps alcohol communication factual: style, ingredients, strength, how it's brewed, its colour, aromas and taste, and food pairings. No images of people drinking. We write your product pages in that register.

Do Belgian customers pay with Bancontact?

Yes. Payments go through Stripe — cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Bancontact in Belgium — to your own Stripe account and bank.
