Selling across borders. Sending wine to consumers in another country brings the destination country's excise duty and sometimes customs formalities. We only set up the delivery countries you choose.
Questions
Do I need a licence to sell my own wine online?
In the UK, yes: online alcohol sales need a premises licence for the dispatch location, even for producers. In France, a grower selling their own harvest generally doesn't need a drinks licence. Check your own case with your council or trade body.
Can overseas visitors pay?
Yes. Stripe accepts cards from around the world, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. Cards issued outside the UK cost more in Stripe fees.
Can I offer cellar-door collection and shipping?
Yes, both. Customers choose when they order.
