Work it out with your own figures
Selling alcohol online. Each country has its own rules: in the UK, a premises licence covering the place orders are dispatched from, with an age verification policy; in France, a take-away licence; in Belgium, minimum ages by drink. We build age confirmation and the required notices into your shop; the licence stays in your name and is your responsibility.
Questions
Do I need a licence to sell wine online in the UK?
Yes. Under the Licensing Act 2003, alcohol sales need a premises licence for the place the orders are dispatched from, and age checks are a mandatory condition. Check with your local council; we take care of the shop side.
Can I deliver only around my shop?
Yes. You choose to offer collection, local delivery, shipping, or any combination of the three.
How do mixed cases work?
You create your own mixed cases (discovery, summer, Christmas) with their own price. For special requests, customers can leave a note with their order.
