Who they apply to

The Terms of service, the Acceptable use policy and the Data processing agreement form our contract with the businesses that use Add Your Shop. The Privacy policy and the Cookie policy are for everyone whose personal data we handle, from website visitors to merchants and the businesses we contact. The Legal notice and the Accessibility statement are about this website.

English and French versions

Every document is published in English and in French. The Terms of service, the Acceptable use policy and the Data processing agreement are drafted in English and a French version is provided: if the two versions ever differ, the English version prevails. For merchants established in France, the French version is available before they accept, and nothing limits the mandatory rules on the use of the French language (clause 1.4 of the Terms). The Legal notice, the Privacy policy, the Cookie policy and the Accessibility statement are information notices: each language version is authoritative for the people who read it in that language.

Summaries

Some documents open with a short summary in plain language. Summaries help you find your way; they are not a substitute for the full text, which is what applies.

Versions and changes

Each document shows its version number and the date it took effect. When we change the Terms of service, the Acceptable use policy or the Data processing agreement, we tell merchants by email at least 30 days before the change applies, and they can end the contract at no cost before then; a shorter notice applies only to changes required by law or needed to address an imminent danger. Earlier versions are available on request.
