1. Our commitment
We aim to make addyour.shop usable by as many people as possible, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or other assistive technologies. Our target is level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2.
2. Compliance status
addyour.shop partially conforms to WCAG 2.2 level AA, because of the non-conformity listed in section 5. The rest of the website meets the standard as far as our self-assessment could establish.
3. How we assessed the website
This statement is based on a self-assessment carried out by our team in October 2026, in which we reviewed the pages of the website, in English and French, against the WCAG 2.2 level AA success criteria, and checked the contrast of our colour palette with the WCAG formula. The website has not been audited by an external accessibility specialist.
4. What we have done
- Pages use a clear structure of headings and landmarks, with a “Skip to content” link.
- Menus, the language switcher and the demo stores can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator; the Escape key closes menus and panels.
- Images have text alternatives, and the animated demonstration on the home page is described in text.
- Animations are switched off when your device is set to reduce motion. The animated demonstration on the home page and the scrolling list of website builders each have a pause button, and the list also pauses when the mouse pointer is over it (WCAG success criterion 2.2.2).
- Form fields have labels, and errors are explained in text.
- The language of each page is declared, so that screen readers pronounce English and French correctly.
- Pages remain readable without JavaScript.
- Our longer legal documents open with a contents list and, for some, a short summary in plain language.
5. Known limitations
- Labels on illustrative examples (non-conformity). The small “Illustrative example” labels on worked examples, on the pricing, comparison, trade and customers pages, are written in gold on white with a contrast ratio of about 3.2:1, below the 4.5:1 required for text of that size (WCAG success criterion 1.4.3). On most of these pages, the note below the examples also says in normal text that they are illustrative. We will correct the colour of these labels.
- Third-party websites (outside the scope of this statement). Some pages link to other websites, such as the official pages of the services we compare ourselves with, or Stripe's pages. We do not control their accessibility.
6. Feedback and contact
If you have difficulty using any part of addyour.shop, or need information from it in another format, write to hello@addyour.shop with “Accessibility” in the subject line, telling us the page concerned and the problem you met. We aim to reply within one working day, and to fix reported problems as quickly as we can.
7. Scope and review
This statement covers the website addyour.shop, in English and French, including the demo stores. It does not cover the shops we run for merchants, or third-party websites.
This statement was prepared on 17 October 2026. We review it when we make significant changes to the website.
