Questions

SumUp or Add Your Shop?

See our pricing in full
Is SumUp's online store really free?

Opening one is. SumUp lists €0 to create a store and €0 a month, then charges 2.5% on each online transaction, card processing included (checked October 2026). If you want your own web address, you buy the domain separately from a domain registrar.

Why pay more than SumUp's fees?

For the work. With SumUp, you build the store, write the product pages, set up pickup and delivery and keep it up to date. With us, that's done for you, the shop sits on your own website, and a change is one message away. If you enjoy doing it yourself, SumUp is the cheaper choice, and a good one.

Can I link a SumUp store from my website?

Yes. A SumUp store has its own address on sumupstore.com, or you can connect a domain or subdomain you own, such as shop.yourbusiness.com, and link to it from your menu. It's a separate site, designed with SumUp's templates. Our Shop tab is styled to match your existing site.

Do both take Bancontact?

Yes. SumUp lists Bancontact among the payment options for its online store in Belgium. With Add Your Shop, Belgian customers can pay with Bancontact through Stripe, as well as by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

When is Add Your Shop cheaper?

On fees alone, only in very busy months. Our commission stops at €49 a month, so with €50 orders our total, Stripe's fee included, drops below SumUp's 2.5% at about €9,800 of sales a month. Below that, SumUp costs less. The difference is who does the work.

Can I move from SumUp to Add Your Shop later?

Yes. Send us your product list or your store's address and we'll set up your range as a Shop tab on your website. There's no setup fee and no minimum term. See how it works.
